About Our Church

Get to Know Us

Everyone is welcome at Friendship Baptist Church in Killen, Alabama.

We hope that your visit to our website will result in you spending some time getting to know us through our video library of past sermons and Bible study.

We invite you to join us online with our live stream services as we stay safe during these times.

This is a difficult time for many people and you will find our congregation ready to pray with you and for you, to lift you up in sorrow and celebrate with you in joy.

We are followers of Jesus and strive through prayer and fellowship to find paths that allow us to follow in His teachings and to abide by the Word of God in our comings and goings.  We hope that you will find your path to asking Jesus to be Lord of your life and that you will follow His words to being saved.

We invite you to visit as soon as services reopen in our Church. You will find a lively fellowship of Christ’s followers ready to welcome you. Come as you are; leave knowing you are loved by God and us.

Beloved I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as thy soul prosperesth.

– III John 2

What we believe…..

We Believe “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). We, therefore, believe that we are all sinners” seeking God’s mercy and grace. It is through faith that we are saved and not through works.

We Believe in the Good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus died for our sins, was raised from the dead and now sits at the right hand of God. It is our sacred responsibility to share this Good News with others and to go forth throughout the world to share the message of repentance and reconciliation that leads to eternal life..

We Believe that all people who repent from sin and profess their faith in Christ will find the peace, strength and guidance that God offers to everyone who believes.

We Believe that baptism is a symbolic expression of repentance and faith that Christians undertake after accepting Jesus as their personal Savior. Baptism by immersion is symbolic of Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection. It is a personal expression for each Christian. Because it is a believer’s baptism, we do not christen or baptize babies.

We Believe that the Bible is true. It is the Word of God.

We Believe in the Second Coming of Jesus and the Day of Judgement.

We Believe that it is God’s desire that we welcome all who come seeking their own pathway to Him through repentance, acceptance of Jesus Christ, profession of faith and baptism.
